Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, nice people! As others have mentioned, most of the campsites are large, spacious and I saw many people that had RVs and tents in the same campsite as well as full on outdoor camping kitchens and games set up for the kids.. The loops on the left (as you enter) are in complete shade which is nice but also more desirable and so more packed with people - but these are also mostly"walk ins" sites, as in you cannot reserve them. When we were there nearly every campsite on that side was full with several groups of families and kids. We were on the other side and it was much less populated, much more quiet, mostly seniors and families with older children. We had partial hookups so we could be closer to the lake and loved our campsite. We had a beautiful view and easy access walking down to the lake. We had shade most of the day, but there were a few sites that were in full sun. "If you're going" Notes: campsites in the loops closest to the lake that are in the middle of the loops have less to no shade but more expansive views of the lake. There is NO sand beach here, in fact no beach to speak of, just grass and hard mud/dirt and a lava rock path along the shore. Mostly it seemed that there were three types of people here - boaters/floaters (inner tubes, etc) having tons of fun on the water, fishers (everyone catches a fish!), and peaceful lake watchers - that was us and it was wonderful!
